MWDRS Changes Rules, Allows Double Entry

The Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Drag Racing Series is excited to announce that, effective immediately, racers may now double-enter their cars in either track classes or two MWDRS classes. This new policy gives competitors added flexibility to participate in classes that best fit their programs while also supporting local classes at partner tracks.

“This change creates more opportunities and value for racers by giving them the chance to compete for additional winnings without increasing travel costs,” said series founder Keith Haney. “Traveling to races can be expensive, and this allows our racers to maximize competition, maximize fun, and potentially maximize payouts during the same race weekend.”

Series Director Ellen Eschenbacher added, “This is also a win for the tracks. Additional entries provide valuable support at a time when many facilities are working hard just to break even. It’s another example of how our series remains committed to supporting both racers and tracks.”

One important exception remains in place: cars entered in Stroud Safety Pro Mod may not compete in any additional class. However, there are no restrictions placed on the driver, who may still compete in another class using a different vehicle.
