Robert Costa debuts Brand-New Car at Mid-West Drag Racing Series Night of Fire & Thunder at WWRT
Three days ago, Robert Costa picked up his Larry Jeffers Race Cars 2023 Ford Mustang. This weekend will see the first passes made on the car! After a nine month build, we know he is fired up to make passes in his new car!
The upgrade to a new car comes at a great time in the series, with the summer break occurring after this weekend.
Robert’s move to a screw blower came from long-time friend, Shawn Jones, saying “he finally talked me into a screw blower after his time in Funny Car.” The new powerplant is a MBR 526 with a Ty-Drive and a B&J Transmission. The crew for the weekend has Todd Tutterow tuning and Brad, Shawn and Johnny preparing the car for racing.
Robert wants to give a shoutout Albuquerque Dragway and Yearwood Performance.
