Jerry Bickel Race Cars Extends Partnership with MWDRS
Jerry Bickel Race Cars and the Mid-West Drag Racing Series are proud to announce an extension of their partnership for the 2026 10th Anniversary Season of the Mid-West Drag Racing Series.
Bickel cars have seen many championships and countless round wins in Mid-West competition, including this year's championship season from Aaron Wells, his second in the same Bickel-built Mustang. The year after Wells won his first? That was none other than Ron Muenks winning in none other than a Bickel-built pro mod. Muenks' Bickel would then be piloted by Dave Pierce the last 2 seasons where Jerry Bickel Race Cars would grab another two championships in Pro 4.20. Dave, for the record, moved from a Bickel-built 2003 former pro stock car for his first Pro 4.20 championship.
New owner of Jerry Bickel Race Cars, Rick Hord, said “I couldn’t be more proud to have Jerry Bickel Race Cars returning to the Mid-West Drag Racing Series. JBRC has been part of this first-class organization since day one, and even though I’m new to leading the company, it’s easy to see why this partnership has always meant so much. The MWDRS is built on hard work, passion, and real racers who give it their all. We’re grateful for the strong welcome we’ve received and proud to stand behind a community that represents the best of this sport. I’m looking forward to a big year in 2026."
Series founder and owner, Keith Haney, is also the proud owner of a Bickel with two Mid-West Pro Mod titles as well, his very own "Black Mamba." Haney's new "Black Widow" is also a Bickel car as well, and it will debut this winter at the Winter Series.
For those of you keeping count at home, that's over HALF of all MWDRS Pro Mod championships and every Pro 4.20 championship taken by the legendary chassis builder out of Moscow Mills.
"I’ve been working with JBRC since 2017, and let me tell you—having them back is absolutely NEXT LEVEL. The new owner is killing it, but the real magic is the powerhouse staff who are STILL there, STILL building insane cars, and STILL backing the racers of the Mid-West Drag Racing Series like nobody else," said Haney. "Their commitment, their passion, their support—it means everything. I can’t thank this team enough for being all-in with us. JBRC is BACK, and they’re bringing the heat!"
The 2026 MWDRS season kicks off April 17th at Xtreme Raceway Park in Ferris, Texas.
