Midwest Drag Racing Series

Haney joins KB Titan Racing to expand team into Pro Mod.

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Nov. 4, 2025) —For the past three seasons, KB Titan Racing has been building. While their on-track performance in the world of NHRA Pro Stock has been eye-catchingly stellar, what's been happening behind the scenes has quietly and steadily woven a foundation capable of supporting tremendous growth. The next step of elevation for the 10-time championship winning group has begun, with longtime Pro Mod racer and Oklahoma businessman Keith Haney partnering in ownership of the team and a new branch of KB Titan Racing under development.

Haney has successfully owned a variety of businesses in the automotive and racing arenas, including multiple car dealerships, the Mid-West Drag Racing Series, Tulsa Raceway Park, and Tulsa Speedway. His vast experience in business is complemented by an unbridled enthusiasm as a driver and team owner with a passion for the wild world of Pro Mod.

That passion is shared by Eric Latino and Jim Whiteley, the two racers and businessmen at the helm of the KB Titan Racing team of partners alongside Greg Anderson and Rob Downing. Anderson founded the team formerly known as KB Racing with original owner Ken Black, tapping Downing early in the process and forging ahead to claim more Pro Stock victories than any other driver and team in the history of the class. Originally, the team fielded just one car with Anderson at the wheel. It expanded to a two-car team in 2004
and operated that way successfully for many years, but as the landscape in Pro Stock changed, so did the traditional way of operation. The demand for a different way of doing things created opportunity for both teams and potential drivers alike, and today, all a racer needs is a license, helmet, and fire suit in order to race with a premier Pro Stock team.
T
he plug-and-play Pro Stock program that operates out of the KB Titan Racing shop in Mooresville, N.C., impressed Haney, and along with Latino and Whiteley, he saw an opportunity to bring that same program to Pro Mod. A building is already under construction on the shop grounds and will be outfitted with top-shelf machinery and experienced staff to support the KBT Pro Mod program.

"I've seen how the KB Titan operation works, and I'm excited to be part of it," said Haney. "When this partnership came together and we started talking about the Pro Mod program, I got really excited. Jim, Eric, and myself, we have that passion for Pro Mod, and the structure is in place to take this to the next level. The Pro Stock program is very successful, and using that same formula for Pro Mod is going to elevate KB Titan Racing as a whole.

"One of the things I'm most excited for is the opportunity to provide exceptional value to the marketing partners that work with KB Titan Racing and KBT Pro Mod. When new marketing partners come on board, they won't just be associated with one car or driver; they'll be marketed across our whole network and on every car. Having the ability to do that really expands reach and makes a strong statement for the partners who
align with KB Titan."

KB Titan Racing currently offers a variety of packages to Pro Stock customers, from licensing to engine leasing programs or ready-to-run Pro Stock cars complemented by an experienced crew. Latino looks forward to offering those same things to drivers looking to race Pro Mod in 2026 and beyond.

"We're excited to bring Keith on board with us. He brings years of experience, and he lives and breathes drag racing just like we do," said Latino. "We're going to do great things together as we expand and strengthen KB Titan Racing and what we offer our marketing partners.

"What we did with Pro Stock gave drivers the opportunity to jump in a competitive car and race at the highest level without having to make the huge investment of owning an entire race operation. Now, we're expanding
to offer that to drivers who want to race Pro Mod; whether you like nitrous cars, screw blowers, or turbo cars, we'll have it. I have truly come to love Pro Stock, and I enjoy it and see a great future there for KB Titan Racing, but I've always been a Pro Mod racer. It's a great class, and I'm looking forward to seeing new drivers come in through the KBT Pro Mod program and fall in love with it, too."
