Mid-West Driver Kallee Mills Takes Names at IHRA

Kallee Mills already has a name you recognize, but the world got a taste of what the Kallee Mills Motorsports team can do with a Pro Mod last weekend as the Oklahoman took names at the IHRA Outlaw Pro Mod Nationals as she wrangled her first finals in Pro Modified competition.

In a field featuring drivers like Ken Q, Disco Dean, Frankie Taylor and more some overlooked the talent in the MWDRS. Mid-West drivers, however, already knew how good the competition is in the heartland. After 2 rounds of qualification Mills sat 1st with a stout 3.636. The temperatures dropped for Q3, and while Mills shook her tires, it was MWDRS race winner Jeff Rudolf who found himself 3rd on the ladder and Mills 7th.

Mills is in her first year of Pro Mod racing, and is every bit the driver her name would suggest. She would go on to beat Kyle Canion, then took out fellow MWDRS competitor Robert Davis. It was round 3 where she would promptly send the 4-time PDRA champion Jason Harris to the trailer. Not satisfied yet, she beat Ken Quartuccio on the tree, earning her first career Pro Mod finals alongside Randy Weatherford. Kallee ran the 3rd quickest pass of any car from anywhere in the finals, bested by Randy Weatherford on the light and by a hair's bredth at the stripe.

Mills would post on social media that it was "A dream come true weekend. We came up a little short, but I’m so blessed. My first final in Pro Mod being on the IHRA stage competing for $125,000 is definitely one of the coolest experiences I’ve had yet.”

Mills is in a tight points battle for 4th in the MWDRS. While she just had showed the world what she can do, the Mid-West Stroud Safety Pro Mod drivers already are familiar with her work. The lesson is clear, if you want to be the baddest there is, you have to go to the MWDRS.
