The Summit Racing Equipment Mid-West Drag Racing Series (MWDRS) presented by J & A Service, LLC is proud to welcome Central Power Systems & Services as a new sponsor for the 2025 racing season. Central Power Systems & Services, established in 1954, has grown into a leading provider of critical infrastructure services, offering sales and support for generators, heavy equipment, and over-the-road trucks. With 22 locations across 7 states and a dedicated workforce of over 600 employees, the company plays a vital role in powering homes, hospitals, data centers, and more, across the Midwest. Under the leadership of Robin Roberts, who has served as Owner and CEO for the past decade, the company continues to expand and innovate, staying at the forefront of the industries they serve.
Robin Roberts' love for racing started with his first car, a 1972 Challenger, and his early street racing days across Kansas and Oklahoma. After moving to Arizona to further his career, he began working as a diesel tech, rebuilding mining engines, and steadily rose to become the Chief Operating Officer of a multi-state company. His street racing adventures in Arizona led to the creation of his iconic Trans Am, known as "The Mighty T/A," which earned him appearances on Hot Rod TV and magazine covers.
In 2015, Roberts made a career-defining move, purchasing Central Power Systems & Services and growing it into a powerhouse company. Central Power Systems & Services’ commitment to reliability and performance mirrors the qualities that make a great race team, making this partnership with the MWDRS a natural fit.
