2021 MWDRS Pro Mod Champion Joey Oksas is Back....

Well, Team Wolverine II fans, we're guessing by now you have seen Mark’s post from last Friday and are wondering what’s going on in Team Wolverine's Camp! Let us go ahead and clarify to get you all up to speed:
Mark has made the decision to step away from his duties as Driver so he can go back to focusing on and assisting Joe with the tuneup in the car. Anyone who knows Mark knows he is the hardest-working guy outside of a race car that you will ever come across. Those responsibilities are where he thrives the most.

Mark has done an excellent job filling in and taking the seat of the late Tim Slavens with the driving duties. As a team, we are thankful and appreciative for him stepping in that role allowing us to continue on without delay.

After much consideration and conversations with the team, we have found a guy who will be a perfect fit to drive the car. He will be a great addition to Team Wolverine! No stranger to the Drag Racing world and no stranger to running fast turbo cars. He has been 5:59 at 265 MPH in the quarter mile and 3:65 @ 219 MPH in the eighth mile! In 2021 he was your Mid-West Drag Racing Series Champion and Drag Illustrated 30 under 30 recipient! We all loved his dad Scotty O and miss him dearly! So without further delay, help us to welcome Team Wolverine’s new driver: Joey Oksas!!

Along with his talent inside the car,he has a very outgoing personality and the drive to be at the top. We feel we have a pretty fast hot rod and with him behind the wheel we feel there are big things to come in 2024 and possibly more.

We want to send out a huge Thanks to our car owners,crew and sponsors that help this team throughout the year and look forward to making them proud again real soon!!!

And as always we wouldn’t be doing what we’re doing without the love and support of the greatest fans in the world!!
